We use Kickboxing as a general term for our Stand Up striking class.

In this class we will be using a blend of Muay Thai Kickboxing, Boxing, Dutch Kickboxing, and more traditional techniques. We have two forms of kickboxing classes- one is more Technique based with a larger focus on expanding our skills, and the other is Cardio Kickboxing which we will also teach techniques but the emphasis is more on a higher rate of output.

Both classes start with a dynamic Warm up, followed by instructor led stretching.

The Cardio Kickboxing class will then have about 5-10 minutes of technique work. Then we get into pad work for about 15 minutes.

Finishing class with ‘stations’ a 3 minute round doing strength, cardio, shadowboxing or pad work. Each person will get 1 or 2 rounds of one-on-one pad work which is a high intensity “fight” simulation.

For the regular Kickboxing class after the dynamic Warm up and stretching we go into 2 rounds of shadowboxing. Followed with 20-30 minutes of technique work. After which we will do light partner drills or break into stations 3 minute rounds each station doing cardio, strength, or one on one pad work.
